Popis
Explore Rome on a Vespa tour with a licensed driver-guide. Stop for photos at the Colosseum and Gianicolo Terrace, and discover hidden gems like the Orange Garden and Trastevere.
Meet your driver-guide at the foot of the Colosseum, one of the most photographed spots on earth. Your guide takes the first shot for you, professionally framed, while you actually get a moment to take in the size of the thing before helmets go on and the engines start.
From the Colosseum, the route drops you straight into the rhythm of the city. Trace the edge of Circus Maximus, once Rome's ancient chariot-racing stadium and still an open green scar across the city that's easy to admire at scooter speed but hard to appreciate on foot.
A short ride later, pull up at the Orange Garden (Parco del Colle Oratorio), a quiet terrace above the Tiber that most visitors never find. Take a breather, wander, take a few photos of your own, and look out over rooftops without another tour group in sight.
Back on the Vespa, the route climbs into Trastevere, Rome's most atmospheric neighborhood, all ivy-covered walls, laundry strung between windows, and streets too narrow for anything but a scooter to move through comfortably.
Pass Castel Sant'Angelo, the fortress-turned-papal-refuge on the banks of the Tiber, and glide by the Fontana dell'Acqua Paola, a monumental fountain locals call "il Fontanone" that most tourists walk right past without knowing its name.
The road keeps climbing until you reach Gianicolo Terrace, widely considered the best panoramic viewpoint in Rome, where the whole city opens up beneath you: domes, rooftops, and the Tiber winding through all of it. This is where your second professional photo happens, timed for whatever light is best that day.
From Gianicolo, it's a relaxed ride back down through the city to your starting point, engine humming, city lights or afternoon sun trailing behind you.
Tour duration is 90 minutes to 150 minutes depending on the package you chose
