We like The Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and the Vatican City.
We like The Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and the Vatican City. Most of the tourist spots were 15 minutes walk with each other. You can reach your point of destination by just walking.
Rome is great place to visit. It's worth your money and experience. We are going back to Rome again someday and stay a bit longer.

So much to see inside and outside Rome.
So much to see inside and outside Rome. No car?, no problem if you have easy access to public transportation. Rome has a very good transportation system and cheap! Keep Ostiene Antica in mind to visit. A ruined oldest city just outside Rome. Well worth the visit! Free entrance on Thursday and it seems like a lot of attractions are free on Thursdays.

Rome is busy - and we weren't there in peak season!
Rome is busy - and we weren't there in peak season! But, having said that, Rome is a fun city. We visited a range of the classic sights (Colosseum, Forum, Palatine Hill, Orto Botanico, Pantheon, Vatican Museums, Catacombs, Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, Trajan's Column). We were caught out a bit by not booking far enough ahead - we ended up having to queue for 2 hrs to get into the Vatican and paying a bit more for colosseum skip the line tickets as everything was sold out by the time we looked. We were able to walk to most of these, and where things were a bit further it was possible to get either the metro or buses (very crowded!). Also, the joy ofwalking in Rome is that there are Roman remains everywhere, so you never quite know what's around the next corner. We managed to find good food pretty much everywhere - not the cheapest, but generally good quality and tasty.

Rome is an incredible place to visit!
Rome is an incredible place to visit! Keep your mind open; there is a lot of contrast, but the joy of life you will feel there is unmatched. The best months to visit would be March, April, May, October and November. Take guided tours if you want to visit places like the Colosseum, the Vatican, the Pantheon, and so on. The Old City Center (Barberini metro station) is amazing in the evenings, filled with cafe's, restaurants, and happy people enjoying life. Fontana di Trevi is amazing after 10 PM, and you might be witnessing marriage proposals there as well :) The Italian food is the best in the world, in my opinion, so embrace carbs, good wine, and smiles and go make some memories! 🙌

It is a beautiful city but now way too many visitors.
It is a beautiful city but now way too many visitors. It detracts big time from the enjoyment. The queuing to see sights has become ridiculous. Even with 'skip the line' tickets you have to queue (in 1 case for just over 1 hour). We squeezed in almost all what we wanted to see in 4 days but is was tiring and I doubt we will return.

Rome is a wonderful city to visit!
Rome is a wonderful city to visit! Lots of places to see and great atmosphere. Try to book for main places in advance and if you take the public transport (like buses) GET INFORMED ABOUT HOW TO PAY AND VALIDATE YOUR TICKET! We found few people paying fines just because of lack of information about how to validate the ticket. Try to get information about this online to avoid unpleasant surprises.
The location is excellent but unlike many 5 star hotels the staff were fantastic - not at all pretentious or pompous but extremely helpful, polite and very down to earth.
We are lucky to have experienced many 5 star hotels around the globe but this is one of the best with great facilities, lovely spa staff and an excellent location too!
The bar has an extraordinary manager who spoke super English and was extremely hospitable!
We regularly travel to Italy and we will definitely stay here again!
It was the best hotel we stayed in throughout Italy. Hotel Everest Inn - Rome was the best compared to our hotels in Milan, Florence and Naples. The room was a great size for 2 people, bright and clean including the bathroom. The staff at reception, including Ivan were very helpful and friendly and also allowed us to freshen up after we checked out and had to come back for our luggage. We also had free coffee and croissants in the morning. We definately would book this hotel again.
This is my first stay at any hotel in Italy and I can honestly say that the receptionist set a high standard, the check in process was easy and accommodating, recommending me her own personal favorite restaurants that aren't tourist traps and wow that made the trip really great, eating authentic Italian food is the best way to start discovering Rome.
The rooftop for breakfast was fantastic, having some options to eat before walking around in Rome was helpful.
we loved the location even though the metro, train station, tram and buses where on the doorstep we preferred to walk so we could see more of this beautiful city, the staff were very friendly and helpful. breakfast is offered which is coffee and pastries, which is mainly offered all over Italy. after a day of exploring Rome there are a couple of amazing restaurants just up the road from the hotel that don’t over charge and deliver good service and quality food
The location was perfect for me. It's my favorite part of Rome and the hotel is so convenient and easily accessible.. The staff were all friendly and really helpful. The breakfast was excellent and I loved being able to have a cappucino made for me (rather than out of a machine like many other "included" breakfasts I've had in italy). Having a kettle in the room was a nice surprise as well. This will be my 'go to" hotel in Rome from now on!
This was our second stay at Hotel Trastevere within a 10-day period. (We started and ended our trip to Italy in Rome, with visits elsewhere in the middle.) Once again, we greatly enjoyed the location, the friendly and helpful staff, and the daily breakfast. Although it probably doesn't have all the amenities that some larger or more expensive hotels do, it had almost a family atmosphere, and we felt very much at home.
I stayed here only for a night to reach the airport quickly in the morning. Termini station is only a 3-minute walk away and you can easily travel somewhere else in Italy or go to Fiumicino airport.
Besides the bathroom that had a really bad smell, the place felt quite clean.
This is place is a decent option only for a short stay. I wouldn’t recommend this for a vacation in Rome.
The staff is amazing and very helpful. It is important to note that most hotels in Italy do not provide irons in their rooms for safety reasons. They may be able to accommodate you using an iron in a private room, or they may be able to get it serviced at a local laundromat. The staff will do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible, no matter what.
Flawless location right in the heart of Rome with all the main sites essentially equidistant from the hotel. The room was very quiet for being in such a lively area as well which was great. Very comfortable bed as well which was a great bonus since the other stays we had in Italy tended to have much firmer / uncomfortable beds.
This hotel is absolutely wonderful. It is close to Termini Station and an easy walk to many attractions. The staff here is great. They are the friendliest we have met here in Italy. The breakfast buffet cannot be beat. I plan on coming to Rome next year and will stay here again! This hotel is a true gem!
The hotel is fabulous. The location is incredible- in front of the most beautiful monument in Italy- the Pantheon. It is within walking distance of all major tourist attractions. The staff is friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. I always return to this hotel whenever I am in Rome.
Within walking distance of most of Rome's most famous places.
The staff is friendly and helpful, and also knows good English, which is apparently rare for Italy.
There is an excellent restaurant right around the corner, with a discount for the customers of the hotel.
The rooms were lovely and big for Rome, and the hotel was extremely clean. Also, unusually for Italy, we found the bed really comfortable. The elevator was fully functional which was great because we were travelling with a baby. A good breakfast spread as well.
This place was great. They were helpful and friendly. The breakfast for being a small mom & pop hotel was great - same every day, but lovey. The bed is comfortable, which is hard to find in Italy, as they’re all VERY firm. It’s quiet and you don’t hear others.
The hotel was in close proximity to Trastevere and the bus to the Rome Termini. The room was large compared to the hotels we have stayed in when in Italy. The rooftop breakfast area provided a great view toward the centre of Rome. Definitely a recommendation.
We booked many hotels on our vacation across Italy. None came close to Domus Romantica. Most comfortable bed, most romantic ambiance, most elegant design, and most communicative and accommodating staff hands down.
Best Hotel during our trip true Italy.
Very kind and helpful receptionist. Clean and comfortable room. Amazing rooftop terrace!
Top breakfast!! We will be back soon to Rome and only in that Hotel. Grazie
The location was exceptional. Nice place. Very authentic to Italy which was a plus for us. Understand it is not a hotel but a residence. You take care of yourself. It was perfect.
