Description
Rome is big, and a hop-on hop-off bus in Rome is a relaxed way to cover it from the upper deck. The double-decker is open-top, leaves from Termini Station and serves eight stops, so you can ride the full loop first, then get off wherever something catches your eye. Audio commentary in several languages tells the history as you pass.
The loop takes in Piazza Venezia, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, Castel Sant'Angelo and Vatican City, then swings by Santa Maria Maggiore, San Giovanni, the Circus Maximus, the Roman Forum and the Colosseum.
- Ticket options: half day (3 hours), one day, or 24, 48 or 72 hours
- With the 48-hour ticket, a gelato; with the 72-hour one, a choice of gelato, prosecco or soft drink, plus a panoramic night tour
- Wi-Fi on board, real-time bus tracking and free digital self-guided walks
Hotel pick-up is not included. The buses are wheelchair accessible, and the Colosseum stop can be out of service, in which case the Circus Maximus or Piazza Venezia stops are the walking alternatives. Infants aged four and under travel free.
