Description
This Colosseum arena floor early evening tour trades the midday crush for softer light and cooler air. An expert licensed guide leads a small-group visit of up to ten people, with a relaxed pace and plenty of room for questions.
Your visit includes the Arena Floor, the very ground that gladiators fought on in front of the crowds, and a look down into the Colosseum Underground from a rare vantage point. The guide then takes you through the other accessible areas, telling the story of gladiator contests and of the engineering that made the amphitheatre possible. The evening glow is a bonus for photographs.
- A guided visit of the amphitheatre
- Time on the arena floor
- A licensed expert as your guide
The visit takes around two hours and covers the Colosseum only: the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill are not part of it, and food, drinks and transport to the meeting point are not included. It suits first-timers and returning visitors who want a calmer view of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
