Description
With Colosseum audio guide tickets you set the rhythm of the day: no group to follow, just your phone, your headphones and three of ancient Rome's great sites on one pass. Staff at the meeting point help you check in, and you receive a code that unlocks the commentary in a downloadable app.
The visit can start at the Colosseum's first entrance or at the Forum and Palatine Hill, depending on your slot. Inside the Colosseum you stand where gladiator fights and animal hunts were staged and look at how the Romans engineered the building. If you pick the option with arena floor access, you also step onto the floor itself.
- Colosseum, with timed entry that bypasses the ticket office queue
- Roman Forum, the old centre of political life, with the Arch of Septimius Severus and the Temple of Saturn
- Palatine Hill, where the emperors' palaces stood, with views toward the Circus Maximus
Plan for anywhere between one and three hours, depending on how long you linger. There is no live guide and no headset is supplied, so bring your own phone and headphones. Every participant, children included, must show valid ID at the Colosseum, and the names on the booking have to be exact. The route is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility.
