At the Colosseum you look at the old stage machinery and climb to the panoramic terraces for views over the city. Then the Roman Forum opens up, once the busy centre of political and social life, and Palatine Hill follows, the legendary birthplace of Rome's founders, with imperial palace ruins above the Forum.

Allow around an hour and a quarter at the pace of the app, more if you linger.
