Description
The Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Trevi Fountain guided tour begins under the dome of the Pantheon, where the guide spends 45 minutes on its oculus, its engineering and its long history. The whole tour lasts about two and a half hours, and from the Pantheon the walk goes through the heart of the old city, with fountains and squares as its thread.
- Piazza Navona, with its fountains, artists and Baroque architecture
- The outside of Palazzo Borghese and the area of the Ara Pacis Museum
- The Spanish Steps, a stop for stories and the view
- The Trevi Fountain, with access included
On the way to Trevi the guide traces the Aqua Virgo, the Roman aqueduct, and how its water still marks the city. Tickets for the Pantheon and for Trevi are part of the tour.
You choose how to do it. The small-group sunset departure is for those who like the squares and fountains in softer light. The small-group morning or day departure is the plain daytime version. A private option gives your party a guide of its own, which suits families, couples and friends who want more flexibility.
Tickets are nominative, so bring an ID and give the full names of everyone in the party. The Pantheon is a place of worship: knees and shoulders must be covered. The tour is not suited to wheelchair users.
