Description
This St Peter's Basilica audio guide visit is built for people who want to explore on their own. Your entry is booked in advance, a host takes you from the meeting point to the entrance, and from then on you choose the order and the speed, using an audio guide in your language on your own smartphone.
Inside, the commentary points to the grand nave and the altars, Michelangelo's works, the mosaics and the ornate chapels, and tells you about the popes, architects and artists behind them. Take time to look up at the dome and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
- Digital audio guide in 13 languages
- Pre-booked basilica ticket
- Host assistance to the entrance
- Dome ticket, if you pick that option
No live guide comes with this ticket, and it does not skip the line, so a security check awaits at the entrance. Shoulders and knees must be covered, and your phone should be charged. Now and then the dome, its lift or the whole basilica may shut with no warning. The visit is not suited to wheelchair users or pregnant women.
