Palazzo Corsini is typical of Ferdinando Fuga's work, built between 1732 and 1736 on the site of the old Riario Palace, founded in the 15th century and known, among other things, for having been chosen for her home by Queen Christina of Sweden. 

She held her own Accademia Reale here, the predecessor of the famous Arcadian Academy. The building had as a guest people like Bramante, Michelangelo, Erasmus of Rotterdam. The ample facade is characterised, like Fuga's other works of domestic architecture, by the uninterrrupted flow of a double of tall windows crowned by a triangula tympanum. 

Today is the seat of the Accademia dei Lincei and houses one of the most prestigious collections of the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica comprising marbles, sculptures and paintings. Most of its gardens are part of the Botanical Garden.
