These thermal baths were built by Tito in 80 AD and were situated on the north-east area of the Colosseum, right next to the Domus Aurea and maybe, in part, the two laid one upon the other. The whole occupied the southern slopes of the Colle Oppio, therefore, it must have had a staircase that from the Colosseum went to the thermal rooms. These have a central body, not very large, around which there are the other rooms. The buildings, had for sure many stories. At least three construction phases can be recognised: the original one, a subsequent Hadrian intervention and a restoration and enlargement made during the first half of the III century.
